Admiral Nancy Lacore Releases First Television Ad of SC-01 Democratic Primary

Mount Pleasant, SC — Admiral Nancy Lacore today released her first advertisement in the Democratic Primary for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, reflecting the strong standing of her campaign as absentee ballots were mailed out this week.
The high-production spot is the start of a major six-figure investment across digital, television, and radio, and streaming platforms, and demonstrates the significant support Lacore has received since launching her campaign in January.
The ad, titled “Because of Politics,” highlights Lacore’s extraordinary 35-year military career serving in the United States Navy, which began as a helicopter pilot and culminated in her role as a three-star admiral and Chief of Navy Reserve, leading 60,000 sailors worldwide. The spot also details how the Trump administration abruptly removed Lacore from her position last year “because of politics,” framing her campaign for Congress as a continuation of her lifelong commitment to service.
“Politics is hurting all of us,” says Lacore. “Our democracy is under attack, and people work hard and still can’t get ahead. I served this country for 35 years, and that won’t stop just because I hung up my uniform.”
Lacore launched her campaign earlier this year, and last month announced raising over $1 million in less than one quarter. Lacore has been actively campaigning since initially announcing her candidacy, participating in forums, county conventions, and hosting events - meeting voters where they are throughout the Lowcountry. Additionally, Lacore has earned national endorsements from The Bench, EMILYs List, VoteVets, and New Politics.
The ad will air districtwide on broadcast, cable, streaming, and digital platforms beginning today.
