Mount Pleasant, SC – Jenny Costa Honeycutt talks a big game about making life more affordable for the Lowcountry but consistently supports policies that have raised costs on working families, including the disastrous war in Iran, Trump’s tariffs, and the One Big Beautiful Bill. During last week’s debate, Honeycutt said the economy “is actually very healthy in this country,” and noted our gas prices are “not the highest they’ve ever been.” She also said that she hasn’t met anyone who has lost their healthcare - despite 70,000 South Carolinians losing access to Medicaid.

The facts about Honeycutt:

  • She “proudly supports” the war in Iran which has raised gas prices to over $4 a gallon and cost the average family in the district more than $744 in gas prices since the start of the war. Families here are also paying $350 more in energy bills. In total, the war has cost taxpayers more than $43 billion.

  • Honeycutt supports the disastrous tariffs that have made things more expensive, squeezed small businesses and hurt South Carolina’s port. It’s estimated that tariffs are costing the average family $2,500 in extra expenses.

  • Honeycutt has said we need to “make difficult decisions” when it comes to Social Security and Medicare.
